Upcoming Litters:

Things to consider

When buying a puppy, here are a few things to consider to ensure our puppies go to the right homes:

 1. Can you afford the new responsibility of bringing home the puppy?

- Puppies will go home at 8 weeks old. Their next vaccination will need to be at 9 weeks  and again at 12-14 weeks with your veterinarian. Will you be able to afford the proper care of your new puppy? (Vet cost, puppy food, bedding/toys)

2. Do you have enough time to give the puppy the attention he/she needs?

- Puppies can be challenging. When you're bringing a puppy into a new environment, they will need time to adjust to their new setting. Make sure you have the schedule and flexibility to give the puppy your attention they deserve. Will you be gone most of the day? Will other animals be around the puppy and will they get along?

3. What does your home life look like?

- Golden Retrievers have a lot of energy and will be your best companion. It's important while training your new puppy to make sure they have a safe environment to run and play. A fenced in yard is essential to keeping your dog safe.

- Another thing to keep in mind is your home life. Do you have small children? Puppies are full of energy and can sometimes scare, or upset young children while playing. Keep in mind what's best for your family when picking a puppy.
